Oakwood Homes Donates Laptops and Sports Kits to The Dingle School in Haslington and Inspires Young Minds with ‘Design Your Dream Home’ Competition
Oakwood Homes has proudly demonstrated its ongoing commitment to supporting local education and youth development by donating 10 brand-new laptops and 2 full football kits to The Dingle School in Haslington. As part of this exciting initiative, the company also launched a ‘Design Your Dream Home’ competition, encouraging students to unleash their creativity and explore the world of home design. The donation aims to enhance digital learning opportunities for pupils of all ages at The Dingle School, providing them with better access to technology in the classroom. The football kits will support the school’s athletic program, helping students take pride in their team and enjoy the benefits of physical activity.
The highlight of the event was the ‘Design Your Dream Home’ competition, which invited pupils to use their imaginations to sketch, draw or model their ideal living space. The competition sparked inspiration and engagement across year groups, offering a fun and educational glimpse into the world of architecture and design. Winners received gift vouchers, and all participants were celebrated for their creativity and effort.
“We’re delighted to support the pupils at The Dingle School not only with essential resources like laptops and sports kits, but also by inspiring them to think big and be creative.” Said Diane Firth, Head of Sales & Marketing at Oakwood Homes. “It’s important to us that we give back to the communities we build in, and we look forward to seeing what these bright young minds will achieve.” The Dingle School expressed its gratitude for the generous contributions, noting the positive impact the initiative had had on student morale and engagement.
